Hello bonjour!
I had the opportunity to take a trip out to Montreal and Toronto for a little art adventure! I hope to share some drawings i did over there on some later posts, and even photos in my photoblog link in the side bar.

I think in retrospect, this piece has been inspired by 2 of my favourite artists, SMAK and Grotesk, not to mention the amazing designs and emotions portrayed in the original book illustrations by Maurice Sendak.

As a story involving monsters in a childs fantasy, the original earthy colours have been juxtaposed with how i see a contemporary interpretation of how these WILD THINGS would be .

Can't wait for the movie!

So i forgot to login every 30 days to my host of where i upload my SWFs...and my account got wiped. Silly me. Will have to fix that.

On other news, i just wrapped up another animation contract on 'MARTHA SPEAKS season 2'. So hopefully i will have time to keep this blog updated, and i welcome this time off to play around with other mediums, and artistic expressions of interest. Maybe i'll finish a comic....

To be honest, I do what i do mostly as introspective pieces to help discover more about me. My personal work reflect subjective thoughts and emotions, sometimes conceptual, hopefully progressive; so really, at the end of the day if you hate what i do, it ain't no sweat to me.

Penticton Show: Mayhem x Krime

Penticton is the home town of partner in KRIME, so were fortunate to have some stuff put into the art gallery there as part of a collective show. These are inked illustrations that were photocopied and coloured with markers, then mounted on foam board.

The opening of the show was a great excuse for me to travel east into the interior Okanagan, so i hopped on a Greyhound (without armour neck support and chest plates) and did just that. Lots of mishief went down, perhaps i'll post some pictures in comming updates.

This was a series of 4 which were unvieled at the Studio B art show. The marvel series consists of Captain America, Wolverine, Thor and Hulk. This series however, was unique as i teamed up with buddy KRIME, who decided to push the concept further by adding his trademark beard tag on them.

Each image was printed on card stock, sans facial features and beards. The latter details were added on afterwards with markers and correction fluid. Of the four pieces, KRIME was the illustrator of the HULK piece, where in turn i bearded him up.

Possibly more collabs down the road.

I just came back from a 2 week trip travelling down to Portland and SF via train. It was slow and scenic. Quiet and conversational. I would type all about it, but i'm afraid there might be too many adjectives for this one post alone, so if you see me in person, just ask me about it. In short, my body is exhausted, but my mind is refreshed.

This is a flip of the new Punisher Movie poster.
I noticed that i could flip the title to make 'pusher' when i was copying the poster for illustration practice and thought i would run with the idea. So now the main character of this piece is some badass drug pusher, who sells you drugs, and takes your money and blood for trade, but under all that bullsh!t thug exterior, his preying on the weak make him a pussy (coz he likes the floral's).
